How to Access Our Services
New Start Counselling is a self-referral agency.

If you have used or are using abuse and/or violence in your intimate partner relationship, call us at 902-423-4675

When you first call us, we will want some basic contact information and your reason for referral. A counsellor will get back to you as soon as one is available to meet with you. This sometimes takes from 6 to 12 weeks.

Men’s Helpline is for adult men who have concerns about their well-being, safety, safety of others and/or who may be experiencing a crisis. This free, confidential service will be offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
By calling 211, men can access a variety of supports and services that are specific to their needs, including information, navigation, referrals, and brief intervention counselling.
We know that life can be tough. It’s okay for men to each out and ask for help. Someone is always ready to listen. It’s confidential. It’s free. It can help.
